Articles ~ Ok - so I'm working on 'em

But WAIT ...

and  ... while you wait, I have a letter for you to read.  It is written by a friend of mine named Keith R.

Keith R is a MOST excellent coder :-) as well as writer (-:

I am guessing Keith is replying to *Name Changed to "SMART Dealer" who sold him the car, when SMART Dealer checked up on Keith's new SMART Car (Keith - let me know if I got it wrong :-)

OH - and I'm getting me a SMART car :-)

What do you think about the following for a testimonial as to the safety of this vehicle?

Hey SMART Dealer:

Unfortunately, my SMART would qualify only for "Worst in Show" right now.

You see, after a few wonderful weeks of ownership, someone was apparently so breath-taken by my beautiful vehicle that they attempted to attach it to the front of their vehicle by way of brute force.

As I lay in wait for traffic to clear on the freeway, the day before Thanksgiving, the driver behind me - in their failed earnest to add Smart hardware to their truck hardware - slammed in to the back of my Smart at highway speeds (yes, while I was stopped).

As a direct result of that collision (they really gave the attachment their best ditch effort) I was subsequently driven forcefully in to the rear section of the car in front of me, and the two of us (hey, if you're going to add one car to the front of yours, why not go for three?) were subsequently rammed in to the car in front of it.

Yes, that is a four vehicle collision, for those who are counting.

The good news is that my passenger and I simply opened our doors and stepped out afterward, nary even a sore muscle from the incident. Yes, indeed, while the car may have a "small" profile, it is a brute when it comes to protecting its human occupants.

The bad news is that as a result, there are some repairs necessary before the vehicle can be driven again. Worse, there are no parts vendors locally, so the parts are being ordered from France and I will be without my wonderful car until at least January. *sigh*

So, to sum up - if you want to add a Smart to the front of your car - use glue.

Missing it, of course
